Byzantium

This is probably my 10th purchase from Pure Linen Envy. The quality of their fabrics is excellent, as are the prices, selection and service. Byzantine is a gorgeous, rich shade of purple - quite different from all my other "neutral" purchases - and it will make a welcome, brightening addition to my wardrobe. For those who are disappointed in the colour of their purchases, order a swatch if you aren't certain.

WOW - I just got my first shipment from PLE - in the color Byzantine. It is even richer and more lush in person. It is a bit darker than how it shows on my monitor - and I think it is perfect. I am incredibly happy and cannot wait to begin sewing. I ordered other samples so I could judge color and feel - but I think you are going to my “GO TO” for linen from here on out. Thank you!

My linen purchased from this website so far has been good quality. The weave is a standard weave not a cross bone weave (which has higher wellness properties) but it has a beautiful appearance, and is excellent for sewing, currently all my projects are hand sewn, so machine sewing may be a different story. This linen will shrink after washing if machine dried and it will fray very badly if sides are not surged or sewn prior it prewashing and drying. The last thing is the color of this linen varies a lot depending on what light it is in the photos shown on this site in photos are not true to color they tend to be a cooler color than portrayed. having said all this it is good material and i have been enjoying it.
